These contribution regulations are based on § 8 (4) of the Statutes.
§ 1 Membership fees
- The membership fee is 2 euros per month.
- The fee is payable for the current financial year.
- When joining the association, the pro rata fee for the remaining months of the calendar year, including the fee for the month of joining, must be paid.
§ 2 Payment method and due date
- The annual membership fee is due on the first working day of the year and immediately upon joining the association.
- Membership fees can be paid by bank transfer, debit card, credit card, PayPal or Liberapay.
§ 3 Payment arrears
If the membership fee is not paid by the due date, membership shall be suspended (Section 8 No. (7) of the Statutes), unless a case of social hardship is recognised in accordance with Section 6 of the Membership Fee Regulations. Payment of the full accrued annual membership fees before the deadline specified in Section 8 No. (7) of the statutes automatically restores the member to active status.
The grace period for receipt of payment is set by the Board of Directors in Annex 1 No. 3 to the Hubzilla Association's statutes. It shall be no less than seven and no more than 60 days. During this grace period, the member retains their current status.
§ 4 Other payment options
The Executive Committee is authorised to offer other payment options.

§ 6 Cases of social hardship
In cases of social hardship, the Executive Committee may temporarily waive the membership fee obligation in whole or in part upon application and proof. There is no legal entitlement to a reduction in the membership fee or to an exemption from the obligation to pay the fee.
§ 7 Amendments
- Amendments concerning the amount of the membership fee shall be decided by the General Meeting.
- The Executive Committee shall decide on all other changes affecting these membership fee regulations.
- The Executive Committee must present resolutions to amend the membership fee regulations at the next General Meeting.
§ 8 Due dates
Amendments are valid immediately after the resolution is passed.
