Request to minimise offence: new name for hubzilla markup language
@
Hubzilla Support Forum@
zotlabs.org | Hubzilla DevelopmentThere is a module 'webpages'
In the web page 'side bar' for this module, there a separate 'help' document only for the design tool 'layouts' (/web/server/path/to/hubzilla/directory/doc/comanche.bb)
A subsequent internet search shows that this name refers to a native American tribe. This decision without any explanation seems to be dubious and potentially offensive to a global audience.
It is proposed that this markup language is renamed, e.g. 'hubzilla webpage markup language' (used throughout this and subsequent posts by this author).
The help documenation for this module has a hyperlink within the final line:
"
...
Return to the Main documentation page
"
The source code in the aforementioned '.bb' file:
"
#
include doc/macros/main_footer.bb;
"
The main hubzilla documentation does not seem to have a hyperlink to the hubzilla webpage markup language page.
The hubzilla webpage markup language documentations states:
"
...
Currently there are five layout templates
...
"
In the 'design tools' §'layouts', there are no templates shown.
It is stated:
"
...
To choose a layout template, use the 'template' tag.
[template]full[/template]
...
"
There is no explanation of the context, or how, to use this command.
The hyperlink 'create' will create a new layout, but the name of the layout appears as a random string of characters.
This behaviour occurs also in 'design tools' §'blocks'.
The option to use html as a code option ('design tools' §'web pages'), in unsuccessful. Hyperlinks within the element 'meta' are ignored, then removed from the html page after it is created.
In 'design tools' §'menu', there is an option to enter the url of a hyperlink for a sub menu target. There is no description about the syntax of the hyperlink, e.g. if relative and/or absolute hyperlinks are accepted.
During the creation of these design tools, there is not option to cancel the creation process
To promote usage by participants (programmers, users, web server administrators) help is requested to provide more documentation.
