Stop notifications from non-connections, commenting on posts by connections i haven't interacted with?

Hubzilla Support Forum I'm receiving loads of notifications from non-connections, commenting on posts by connections, even though i didn't interact with those threads myself at all. Can that be stopped?
In this example post - which i did not interact with -
#^https://hub.kliklak.net/hq/088a481c-9c5b-5403-ace0-8afdd61c7ef0I received "non-connection-1 commented on "connections post" from both current commenters, whom i have no connection with, i don't follow them, they don't follow me. This is likely an activity.pub-related issue.
