I recently visited the Matrix room this morning my time perhaps around 0900 UTC and I was only reading previous post trying to figure out what it is that I'm using. It was very informative. You're new in the fediverse, you may have misconceptions about this virtual space. Censorship are rampant here. The vast majority of administrators in the fediverse are staunch adherents of neoliberal ideology. They are happy to break the federation, block undesirable users and servers and so on.
With a such userpic and domain name like yours, you are to them a mere untermensch who has no voice and should be excluded from virtual civilised citizens. You're second-rate trash to these guardians of virtual neoliberal morality. All they will want to do with you is get rid of you and forget about you, because if they don't ban you, you will become part of their community - and that is offensive to them.

We may already be there. Unless something has changed, Minecraft can ban you from playing on your own server.

I have proven my initial point, though, people are just a little too wound up, for their own good. Some people see things that aren't really there and end up making utterances, that possibly indicate, their own stances on debated matters.

I thought that much was obvious. Most people live in their own little world. They assume people know and have experienced the same things. They assume "good" people think like they do, because, well, most people label themselves as good.

And a lot of people have gone through stuff. A lot of it looks like PTSD. They were traumatized by something, often in their childhood, but sometimes as an adult, and they overreact when hit with certain stimulus.

An abuse victim is going to be on the watch for any signs of a threat, for example. So they sometimes see a threat when there is no threat. It's like military radar. Everything is flagged as a potential threat until identified as being a non-threat. The military does it so they don't get attacked, and abuse victims do it for the same reason.

So, while it upsets me when people jump to conclusions, falsely accuse people of things they did not do, and incorrectly label people, I do understand that sometimes there is a reason why they are so defensive and protective.

I personally try to educate them instead of antagonize them, but that is just how I roll.

I'm not saying what they did is right. I am not saying what they did was wrong. We have freedom of speech and freedom of association. Your free to be Nate and they're free to ban you.

I'm not sure what the point of this post is, but I thought I would just throw that out there.
