Expiration period
Ni! Hi folks,
I've set content "Expiration period" in "Admin - Site" to 366.
I thought this would expire all content older than a year.
But I haven't (yet) seen any decrease in the count of my 'item' table.
Am I missing something?

Well, it seems the item table cleared up after a few days, no idea why the delay. But the disk space used by the database did not change. For that I had to dump and restore it.

I believe the database reserves space for future growth, so even if you delete stuff in the database, it does not resize immediately. There are ways to force a resize based on the current data in the database, but I have not used that in awhile, so I forgot how to do it.
