Just mentioning, that a filed a #tagname display bug in Mastodon here

which comes up upon receiving #tags / tagnames originating from Hubzilla original posts
turning them into #ags / #agnames in Mastodon 4.1++ (probably earlier, but i onyl noticed, when I started using Hubzilla 20 days ago.)

Any +1 on the Github thread might help the issue.

Github user trwnh (#^https://github.com/trwnh) answers "i'm assuming Hubzilla is neglecting to include the # in name, and mastodon expects it to always be there".

In fact this is exactly, what i observe already, when looking at my own tags in Hubzilla posts: The # of the tag is not a visible part of the visible link to /search?tag=tag .

Issue was quickly looked at by Mastodon devs and they'v returned their answer on:

By the way, the hashtag error seem to depend on the Mastodon software version - 4.12 erroneous (mastodon.online), but works normally on 4.02 (with Hometown 1.1.1 on post.lurk.org).
