Channel Cloning and Photos

I'm seeing a couple other posts about this that are older, so I'm wondering if there's been an update, I'm missing something, etc.

It appears I've successfully cloned my channel so it updates between two places, with the primary being phloxbayou9784@hub.netzgemeinde.eu and secondary being phloxbayou@node9.org (first created).
Everything managed to import successfully except photos (used import_items). They all link back to node9, but node9 appears to be "taken over" by netzg (viewing profile on node9 shows netzg address). When I go to channel settings, it does still show node9, and the channel link is still node9. Issue is, on primary, image posts link back to node9 which it thinks doesn't exist for some reason. I didn't see "content_import addon", but I did see "Channel Sources" and tried that, it said No Channel Selected.

So is there new news about photos in cloning?

(Bonus since I'm already posting: wanted to try the mail app, doesn't seem to be working. #^https://hub.netzgemeinde.eu/mail/combined comes up page not found)

Content should be imported without the addon (since HZ 6.4, AFAIK). I think the channel sources addon is when you want your channel wall to repeat other channels automatically (e.g. as a news aggregator). As @Grouchy wrote, mail has long before been substituted by DM (it does the same). It was kept as a legacy function for a transition period (mainly to access old mail conversations) and was finally taken out completely with Hubzilla 7 ( as of yesterday).
