To Do List

Today I was wondering how to add a nice looking "to do list" to my channel and was thinking of creating a HTML page with the HZ webpage app for that. I found a place where code is offered but i was not able to add it in a proper way.
Can someone teach me to do so ?

There is the pretty simple tasklist widget which can be easily added to any system page with the pdl editor.

I think you'd actually have to write that as a mod or addon, because the webpage feature of Hubzilla restricts what code you can put there for security reasons.

@mike posted some code awhile back. Let me see if I can find it.

Just looking through the code, it looks like this only manipulates the web page you are viewing, and does not actually save it to the database anywhere. So once you refresh your page, it is gone.

Unfortunately, a lot of Javascript-only scripts and Bootstrap examples are just like this. They are created by front-end developers, and a back-end developer needs to add their part to make it functional. For example, there would need to be some PHP and a way to store the data, usually in a database, for this code to work as desired.

@Scott M. Stolz Hmmm... i was not aware about that. I thought there is also some code in this Javascript which saves entries. Are all Javascript scripts like that ?

Now I have to think about this again: I lately discovers tiddlywiki

You can also do "to do lists" with this wiki software and it gets saved into one html fiel. This Html code can be loaded up to a HZ / ZAP cloud and can be edited by contacts.

The HTML code can be also inserted into a HZ Webpage but editing does not work than - it will just offers a download if the page get saved - don´t really understand why.

@mike @Mario Vavti there are a lot of things you can do with a tiddlywiki I´m still wondering how save it is to implement something like a tiddlywiki into a HZ / Zap site.
