Hi friends. Our Hubzilla server thows 504 Gateway Time-out errors all the time.

Debian + nginx + php8.1

P.S. When I visit #^https://hubzilla.org/channel/support, I also encounter 504 Gateway Time-out errors very often.

A gateway error typically means you did not get a response from the back end service quick enough. There's two common solutions.

1: Increase the Nginx timeouts to allow for longer response times from the backend.
2: Speed up the backend. How you do this depends on what you're using.

Can you describe your setup better? Is Nginx used as proxy or a web server? What is running PHP? Ex: FastCGI, uWSGI, mod_PHP, php-fpm, other?

Nginx is used as a web server.
php-fpm is used.

in /etc/php/8.1/cli/php.ini I find this setting:

max_execution_time = 30

in /etc/php/8.1/fpm/pool.d/www.conf following line is commented out:
