How can i change my site startpage in an easy way?

How can i change my site startpage in an easy way,

• while preserving only the link to the login popup?

Can do html/css/php/js. Tried all kinds of settings in /admin/site/ -> Site homepage to show visitors (default: login box)
I saw that i can use an html file ("include:home.html") however how do i include the login link in there?

Solution (ay ay ay) :

Put a home.html into root directory. /* stupid me */

Login link in upper left corner is preserved anyways.
