Re-Installation of Hub

Is it possible to make a completely new installation of a hub using the same domain name, i.e. using the domain name of the first installation of the hub? Or are there any safety mechanisms, which prevent using the same domain name again?
This means, could a new installation lead to errors, as the first installation is still somehow present in the grid? For example, will existing or new connections still refer to the original installation of the hub?

It could work if you choose other channel/usernames you have chosen now. Keep in mind every user in the fediverse has a special ID behind the scenes. If you choose to reinstall, this ID will change and you couldn’t talk to people who know the old ID.

but the id is not linked to the DNS so theoricly it should works

If kris@domain.com is a fediverse account, an ID is connected to it. If you are connected to me, I also have this ID connected. If you choose to reinstall, there will be a new ID and my server can’t connect if there has been a connection before.
