I am using Hubzilla v7.4.
I'm having sporadic issues receiving both posts and replies. This has been going on for a while, but I don't know how long because it has only recently come to my attention. It is hard to notice something isn't there when you don't know it is supposed to be there. This has potentially been going on for a long time.
First symptom: If I pick a connection who posts relatively frequently and compare the posts I see from them in my stream to the posts I see from them on their site, my stream is missing posts. The reason I think this may have been going on for a long time is because I remember noticing this phenomenon long ago, but it never quite sank in how wrong that was. Typically, I see most, but not all of their posts.
Second symptom: I'm missing replies from people on my posts. I made a post recently as a test, asking people to reply to it. Compared to what other people see, I am missing many replies. For some people, I see most or all of their replies. For others, I see none. For others, it is somewhere in between. There is no consistency.
Additional "data points": Given two people M (me) and J (not me) who each have their own servers (MServer and JServer) and have clones on each other's server, we have 4 scenarios: M on MServer, M on JServer, J on JServer and J on MServer. Of those 4 scenarios, the only one who seems to see all the replies on the test thread is J on JServer. The other 3 see the same (I'm pretty sure) subset of replies.
Someone posted the delivery port from one of their replies that I can't see and it contains this:

This would seem to indicate there is a problem, but I don't know what it would causes this. I've looked at the logs, but really don't know what I should be looking for.
Mario made a suggestion not long ago to turn off add-ons and apps. I have all add-ons but log-rot turned off (and that had been off until just now) and I have reduced the number of apps to things that seem important to keep. When that suggestion was first made, the problem seemed to go away and seems to stay away when they were turned back on. At the time, I thought the problem was limited to private messages.
I don't know where to go from here. I can't see a pattern. It doesn't seem specific to only my channel, my account, or my server, but there may be connections behind the scenes that I simply don't understand. I asked (I think), but have not heard back from anyone as to whether they see missing messages when they compare their stream to the sites of their connections. Knowing if it the problem extends beyond me seems like an important thing to know.
