Does anybody succeeded in adding a calDAV calendar of hubzilla with DAVx5 (Android, F-Droid) in the last time?

I had some problems with sharing calDAV calendars between different Hubzilla channels in the last time. So I downloaded (saved) an existing one, created a new channel, imported the saved *ics (calendar file). The entries showed in the GUI of Hubzilla. Then I tried to add the account on my mobile phone using DAVx5. Result: The calendar is not recognized. (The cardDAV addressbook neither.)

In DAVx5 I use (as usual) the second option when adding an account: "Mit URL und Benutzername anmelden" (login using URL and user name), URL = /cdav/calendar as and in DAVx5. No error messages in DAVx5 neither in the GUI nor in the activated protocol.

Any experiences or ideas?

it works just fine on my server

base url is
/cdav

use this instead of /cdav/calendar

You don't need the /cdav path. DavX5 is smart enough to discover principal urls.

Check that you're using your channel name to login, and not your email address. Using the email address for login seems to break it for me.

cardDAV = ok
DAVx5 recognized the addressbook at Hubzilla. Fine.

calDAV = nok (for me)
One important thing changed. DAVx5 does not recognize a calDAV calendar at Hubzilla anymore. The workaround for me:

Hubzilla: delete the calDAV calendar online (Hubzilla)
Mobile phone: create a new calDAV calendar via DAVx5 on the mobile phone. Result: Hubzilla shows the calendar as well. OK.
Hubzilla: import an old calendar (*.ics) from a backup. Result: DAVx5 shows all calendar entries on the mobile. OK

The problem:
DAVx5 does not recognize an online calDAV calendar:

webDAV calendars created online at Hubzilla
webDAV calendar another channel shares with my channel

In effect no family member can see the calendar entries of other family members. (That's how we used it for quite a while.)

Does anybody run into the same problem or knows a solution?

This is exactly what fails to work (recognize new calendars). It used to work. Thats for sure.

yes - just tested it yesterday again and it works for me with out any problems

One cause was the old PHP version 7.4 :-(

(I was sure I had upgraded to 8.1 already but this was the other servers obviously.)

DAVx5 recognizes shared calendars now. There is still a problem with importing the backup of a calendar. There is a good chance the "bug" is sitting in front of the computer as was the case with the PHP version.
