Bug 202306251 incorrect post timestamp
Hubzilla behaviour becomes more strange after upgrades before sufficient quality assurance tests.

I frequently use clones when my main server is offline. I've not had any issues with it.
Is the picture in question public?

Out of curiosity, I haven't investigated this yet:
If you write a post or an article with image links to your channel's file space, and your channel has a clone, what happens to the image links in the cloned post or article? Is it always changed to whatever hub a post or an article is cloned to? Or do posts and articles stay untouched upon cloning, therefore linking to images etc. on whichever hub a post or an article was written on?

I imagine that a link to an image would have to be a link to a specific server. Even if that image got cloned to another server, the link is going to be specific. For it to work otherwise would seem to require a 3rd server to decide which of the two servers hosting the image to direct you to.

If you allow only one channel to see an image, then only this one channel can see the image.
If the channel happens to be a forum, then only the forum/the user who runs the forum can see the image, but not those who are connected to the forum. Hubzilla cannot grant permissions based on what forums a channel is connected to, and the permissions system cannot change the way it works based on the channel role set up for any given channel.
In order to make it possible to share an image "privately" through a forum, Hubzilla would have to deduce from the channel role settings which can be customised that the channel in question serves as a forum. And whenever one of the connections of the forum grants image viewing permission to the forum, Hubzilla would automatically have to extend the permission of an image in the poster's file space to all connections of the forum, one by one. It would have to allow people who aren't explicitly authorised by the image owner to see the image, and it would have to modify privacy settings for files behind the back of the owner of these files.
