Click the share icon and select the channel to share with. Only works with local channels though.

Is this limitation only for informing people? That means that normal ACL works for event items?

CalDAV calendars do not have an ACL so far...

OK, thank you.
It might be worth extending event or calendar items to full access control options like on other items. I can think of a professional scenario (e.g. university) where I want to have an internal network of several connected hubs (especially since scaleability per hub is somewhat limited) who want to share/access mutual group or corporate calendars (like lecture plans, task due dates, internal meeting events, etc.). I can see that this is not a high priority, though.

that is available for the channel calendar which has not much in common with the caldav calendars. They are just displayed in the same UI.

Yes it works. Of course! Thanks.(I don't know why I could not find it. Strange world sometime ;-) )
My family really loves the calDAV and cardDAV features. We have been sharing our calendars for "ages" now and do not want to miss it. The addressbook has always a backup.

eventually we should probably streamline the two calendars in the backend somehow. It is not clear yet how to approach this though...
