Superblocked channel's posts displayed in HQ (and probably as ghost items in my stream)?

I still follow the public stream, but superblocked a mastodon channel I do not want to follow, and I do not see its posts in the stream.

Before upgrade from I think 6.0 to 7.6.1. (Yes, I know... slightly smiling face) I used to see some posts by others via that channel in my stream.

In addition, there were (and still are) also "ghost items" in the network counter that were not displayed in the stream and go away only when I clicked explicitly "Mark all notices read" . I saw (and still see) the channel's posts in my HQ conversation (I never posted / commented anything there) as a summary - but clicking on it does not show the message.

How can I find out whether this is a feature, a wrong config, or a bug?

Maybe the core of this question in short: Should posts via a superblocked channel (by other channels) counted in the network counter, and should they be listed in HQ - Even though they are not listed in network, and even though they cannot be opened in HQ?
