Feature request to flag images as sensitive for Mastodon could need some support
We've always had the problem that we can't flag images sensitive in any way that renders them invisible on #
Mastodon.
This is still the case here on Hubzilla. I could have other Hubzilla users click three or four times, depending on their setup, before they see an image clearly. Flag the image sensitive, put a summary on the post, put the image into a spoiler and add something to the post that triggers the NSFW app if it's installed.
Not a single one of these measures translates to Mastodon, however. Any picture posted on a Hubzilla channel with Mastodon connections
will appear in plain sight on Mastodon, no matter how.
Essentially, if you have PubCrawl on and at least one ActivityPub connection, you can't post sensitive images.
Now, #
Streams has introduced an interesting fix for this a few weeks ago: If a post contains the hashtag
#nsfw
or
#sensitive
, all images in the post receive a Mastodon-compatible sensitive flag.
I think Hubzilla should introduce this, too, also so that Hubzilla and (streams) work the same in this regard.
Alternatively, Hubzilla's own NSFW/sensitive flag for images could be translated by PubCrawl into Mastodon's own non-standard sensitive flag hack.
I've already submitted a feature request on Framagit which could use some more support.
