Discussion: single post is expanded by default
Collapsing/expanding of posts is necessary when user viewing many posts (in network or channel) - if a user is interested in something - he or she will expand some post.
But if a user opens an single post (with 'Link to Source' feature for example) - it means that this post is of interest to the user anyway, and he or she will expand it anyway if it is collapsed by default. In my opinion, this is expected behavior: open single posts by default in expanded form.
This is related to
Issue #1425 and
Merge Request #2078. The developer felt that there should be more discussion in the community about this change. So i propose to discuss this change, in my opinion it is justified, because if you actively share links and open individual posts - the default collapsing becomes often noticeable, every time you have to click in the narrow "expand" field before viewing the whole post.
Here's an example of a proposed change:
#^https://hubzilla.org/item/6489b6ea-822a-439c-8dc0-d0ae37806bc1 - when you open this post on a separate page, it is minimised by default and you have to click "expand" to see the content.
#^https://ussr.win/link/7275325 - same post on the hub with this change, it's expanding by default, although collapsing is active on all pages with many posts (network, channel, etc).
Please give your opinion on this, whether you think single posts should be expanded by default or whether you think single posts should be collapsed by default.
