Introducing: A Support Forum for DM42 addons
There are a number of addons created by DM42 that people have been using for a while. "Defaultapps" and "Appsbyclass" are probably the two most common. Other addons have been written that also haven't been submitted to core for any number of reasons.
Some of DM42's addons in some way replace existing functionality in Hubzilla either as a potential future proposal for replacement or simply because the use-case suggests a different approach. This category includes an addon called "BetterRSS" and a new "Forum" addon and others which will be released in some shape in the future.
So far, only a couple have been released into the wild and shared by word-of-mouth on the Hubzilla Support channel which seems a bit out of place since these are non-core and non-supported by the Hubzilla Devs generally. Until now, there has been no centralized location to get updated versions and support.
Well, that has now changed. I introduce to you the
DM42 Hubzilla Addons Forum.
It uses the new Forum Addon - which you can
read about there. It's a tool we're pretty proud of. There are a few things to work out yet - but it's almost ready for public release.
