Why isn't zot protocol more popular?

ActivityPub is becoming the largest fediverse protocol. Zot protocol implementations haven't gained much traction.

What is the secret sauce of ActivityPub? Better documentation? Better standardization? Network effect? Something else?

@Aksel Kies Linc @Hz it has some advantages which ActivityPub does not have yet. Among those are:
- built in nomadic identity
- deal with permissions
- deal with clone syncs
- additional server to server traffic encryption
- built in delivery reports
- a federation concept that actually works (thread owner is delivering to the thread audience)

@oxygen-cat if somebody comments on your post, the comment is sent only to your hub. Only your hub has the knowledge of who the audience of your post is and will therefor relay the arrived comment to the audience of the thread and nobody else.

Not sure about friendica. Pleroma does not do that though...
