Why can I not edit my own post on this forum?
I want to make a post and edit it. But, I can't. I can still edit my own replies to forum posts. Is it an inherent limitation of zot protocol?

You should be able to edit/delete the direct message you sent to the forum and the changes should propagate to the forum. If this does not work, there is a bug involved.

You don't own the forum post hence you can not modify it. As mentioned you should be able to modify the original direct message to the forum.

Why are modifications to original messages and comments to original messages are ignored?
I just did a brief test and it worked as expected here...

very good screenpics shown to tell the problem and @
Witcraft
good explains about what may causing such. Indeed, more help docs are needed to tell the users what happens in the communication depending on DM (the @! stuff), depending on posting on other walls, depending on how to react in the stream etc.
