Would you be interested in some Hubzilla Merch?

If so, this could be also a nice way to support the DEVs if you are willing to pay few bucks more on top.
Shell we try to put together some motives/banners ?

@Papa Dragon I understand very well what you are saying... the graphic is meant ironic and tries to get a smile on your face... the dead twitter bird maybe to much, so...

I´m interested to think about a visual concept that communicates what HZ is about. Some how it has to be simple and strikingly...

I´m referring to the word Zilla which stands for something very powerful... but powerful does not mean indeed to destroy other networks... in reality Hz will never destroy FB&Co anyway... so it is really just an ironic exaggeration

What other ideas to you have?

For what does HZ stand?
What kind of images to you connect to the name and the actual app ?

personal i find the house shape quid static, unsophisticated and boring :-( it does not raise any emotions...

An identity gets connected with a real estate - hmm... that is actually not that attractive in my view

There have been posts asking not to use the house anymore, many years ago though and I cannot come up with proof.

Hubzilla is clearly web 3.0 and whilebthis is just now getting some first public posts, it was as far as I know the first to really implement it at a time when that hype did not yet exist.

To me it is a privacy aware, decentralized publishing and colaboration platform for web 3.0 (to apply that hype word) that integrates a social network app.

Well if you look around you see that HZ is often quoted with just the three connected circles without the house shape... so there is no explicit decision made for the logo .... you see it with and also without house shape...

like i said, personal I don´t like the house shape at all...

I find also that the main blue color just combined with white is not that exciting... NO MUCH JAZZ.

I would find it interesting to find some new ideas how the visual presentation of the HZ project could be improved.

thoughts for a new visual wrapping paper...

I ordered some shirts with the company logo from the company store. The "merch-on-demand" company behind the store was running out of blanks. Of the 5 shirts I originally tried to order, only 2 were in stock. One was supposed to be in a couple weeks ago, but I haven't received it yet. One is expected in January. One may never be in stock again.

My point in saying all this is that, if you find an on-demand place to set this up, you might want to check availability of other items they sell that use the same blanks. I don't know if they will be open about the state of their current and future inventory, but if their site is accurate about what is currently in stock, you should get a good sense of their current state.
