Remote channel or protocol unavailable

I am new to Hubzilla and have been playing around with it a bit.

I now have installed Hubzilla on two of my domains.
On both domains I am able to add connections from other servers.
I am, however, unable to add a connection from my website A on my website B (and the other way around).

I keep getting: "Remote channel or protocol unavailable".
What am I missing here? What could explain this?

Try enabling the Hubzilla logs on both hubs and watch as you attempt to add connections. That should shed some light on the issue. The logs are available at Admin -> Logs.

Maybe a DNS-Firewall problem. If you can, ping from shell the other site and try to telnet to port 80. Behind firewall you sometimes cannot connect to public IP and have to use local DNS. You should ask the provider about this. Do both accounts have separate IP?

I don't think you should be receiving a 404 on the /.well-known/webfinger path. Is your web server set up to handle those paths correctly?
