How to use hubzilla privacy vs. profile groups
Can anyone explain to be the purpose of the two different group mechanisms?
There is privacy groups to use in the ACL, default group being "friends", and I can assign new connections per default one group. However, I cannot grant access to profiles based on these groups.
To a profile, I can assign single connections, and use those profile access lists also for access to posts. But I cannot use them as a default group for new contacts, right?
It seems this doubled mechanism was dropped in Zap/Misty (which makes perfect sense as it is pretty confusing). Is there a best practice or the like to handle this in Hubzilla? Is there a work-around to assing profiles to the normal privacy groups, so I do not have to maintain two seperate groups for profile and connections management? Or am I missing an important element here?
