How can I save the edits?

By clicking the blue button in the editor. I think it says "Edit".
Can not see the image. You probably need to set it to public...

The permission of images. I still do struggle with it.
But yes it shows "Edit".

You are right. Changes the permission. And yes the button shows "Edit". Pressing save the content.

I think "Edit" should change to "Save" ("Bearbeiten-> Speichern")?
