Pixelfed Connections

Just wondering if anyone else has connections from Pixelfed, and how they work for you. I recently got the wife on Pixelfed and connected with her through my Hubzilla instance, but the interactions between the two are not working well. She has sent me messages, which I see, but my replies to her she never sees. She also can't see any of my posts, even though they are shared with group I put her in. Also, when she posts in Pixelfed, and makes it unlisted/private, it shows up on my instance in the public feed. Have looked all around in settings, can't figure out why it's working like this, wondering if it's a larger/common issue and if anyone else has tried connecting with Pixelfed users.

I'm following a few people using pixelfed, and I see their posts and can comment on them, but I don't think they see my posts. I don't think likes come through either. I think the problem is on the pixelfed side.

@JorAnon I've some Pixelfed connections, they work. And they oftenly ask, if they work. Uhm. Anyhow, if they post their images someplace else, MAstodon, Hubzilla, Friendica they wouldn't need to continue asking ;)

I'm running my own Pixelfed instance and am connected to both my Hubzilla account and my Snac account there. Everything actually works perfectly. With Pixelfed itself, however, the comment function and especially the notifications are not particularly well developed. If someone writes me a comment there, I only notice it by chance.
Restoring deleted connections in Pixelfed later is also a challenge, it takes patience and in one case even an intervention in the database. Some important details certainly still need a little love.
I still like Pixelfed though.
